Services - Short-term/Subacute Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation after illness or injury can take just a few days — or many weeks. Most of the rehab patients we see at Laurelton Village Center go home in a matter of weeks.

But whether a resident is with us for few days or for much longer, the goal is still the same: to provide effective rehabilitative services to restore as much functioning and independence as possible. Therapy services are available seven days a week.

Physical Therapy
Members of our physical therapy team work on helping our residents achieve maximum levels of physical mobility, strength, endurance, balance, coordination and general fitness.

Occupational Therapy
The occupational therapy team focuses on increasing, enhancing and adapting each patient’s task development skills to increase the level of independence and autonomy. Specialized static and dynamic splinting techniques enhance our individualized hand, upper body and lower extremity rehabilitation following trauma or surgery.

Speech and Language Therapy
Our speech and language professionals employ a wide variety of speech and language techniques to address speech and communication problems, as well as cognitive issues. Our speech therapists also assist individuals who are experiencing swallowing difficulties.
